Inspired by the film “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” this photo is one of the pinnacles of what I aspire to be as a photographer. I took it up on a snowy mountain range in the San Juan’s. 12,000 ft up and a winter storm did not stop by determination to view the first rays of a new day on the peaks. After waiting for the fog to clear in the valley below, this image is what remained. I did gasp in excitement when I took it!
