Pillars of Light
Pillars of Light
On Friday May 10 and early morning Saturday May 11th 2024, hundreds of thousands of people looked up to the heavens to witness this extremely rare event. A massive solar storm hit Earths magnetic field and created a stunning display of pillars of light that extended down into Colorado’s majestic mountains. The Northern Lights are rarely seen past the upper states, so to witness such a magnificent beauty in the wilderness of Colorado was something most people only dream of. I drove up at 2am to Loveland pass near Dillon CO to capture this spectacular image, and while I was extremely tired the view of these Lights was 100% worth it.
